1. Reduce or supplement the process and optimize the stamping process
Rearrange the stamping process, improve the mold structure, try new processes, and design the process under the premise of ensuring the quality of the finished product while reducing the material edge. Give priority to the punching process with less and no waste. For example, the forming of the cover usually adopts shallow drawing, which is a stamping process that reasonably reduces the forming depth.
2. Reasonable layout, optimize the design of product shape and structural block
For example, when using metal coils to stamp precision stamping parts, reasonably arrange the blank sheet in the uncoiling die to increase the amount of uncoiling blanks. Relevant designers should fully consider various situations and design multiple solutions. According to the actual situation of the product, the product structure can be optimized and the structure can be reasonably divided to improve the processing utilization rate.
3. Choose advanced punch press equipment
Advanced stamping equipment is often not only efficient, but also has a certain relationship with the technology of the equipment. High-precision processing equipment means that the size of the stamping can be controlled more accurately, so the raw materials can be processed more finely, and the surplus materials are easier to use. At the same time, since the equipment can produce efficiently, the speed and strength of the machine are better controlled during the processing, the scrap rate and rework rate in the production process will be greatly reduced.
4. Cutting and processing surplus materials
The use of cutting and optimizing the layout can also reduce the use of raw materials, the surplus material area of the parts, and the cutting and processing according to the specifications, dimensions, shapes and other characteristics of other products and part materials. Reuse the surplus materials, design the mold to directly use the surplus materials for production, or process the surplus materials until it is suitable for reuse in production.
5. Optimize the blanking method
Combine blanking and waste recycling. For example, when we use a 200 ton closed double-point gantry high-speed precision punch press for stamping automotive parts, some automotive parts are relatively large in size, such as the outer panels of the side doors and back doors. There are a lot of block and angular materials left after punching. Through reasonable planning, multiple parts combined blanking can be used to reduce material waste.
6. Accurately design the mold
Adjust the mold to improve the waste generated by blanking, reduce the size of the blank, optimize the mold matching clearance, and minimize the generation of waste and residual materials. Although the residual materials can be reused, it is still the primary priority to reduce the waste rate and residual material rate of the material in the root design.
